This paid position offers a rewarding opportunity to contribute to animal health and well-being while working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.DutiesGreet clients warmly, schedule appointments, and manage patient check-ins and check-outs efficiently using veterinary software.Charge clients accurately, ensuring timely payment processing while maintaining excellent client relations.Assist with front desk responsibilities including answering phone calls, responding to client inquiries, and providing information about veterinary services.Support clinical staff with animal restraint, kennel management, and basic animal husbandry tasks to facilitate smooth veterinary procedures.Prepare and maintain accurate records related to laboratory tests, surgical procedures, drug administration.Communicate effectively with clients regarding pet care instructions, treatment plans, and post-operative care using clear veterinary terminology.Assist with animal handling during examinations or procedures, ensuring safety through proper restraint techniques and aseptic protocols.Contribute to veterinary critical care efforts by supporting emergency protocols, monitoring patient status, and maintaining a sterile environment.Maintain knowledge of veterinary terminology, laboratory procedures, and surgical practices to support clinical staff efficiently.QualificationsProven experience as a Veterinary Client Service Representative or similar role within a veterinary clinic setting. Pay is based on experience.Spanish speaking a plus but not required.Strong knowledge of veterinary terminology, medical-surgical procedures, and companion animal medicine.Hands-on kennel experience along with animal husbandry skills for dogs and cats.Familiarity with Avimark veterinary software system and Microsoft Office applications for record keeping and communication.Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and empathetically with clients of diverse backgrounds.Skilled in animal handling techniques including dog handling, animal restraint, and aseptic procedures.Knowledge of laboratory procedures relevant to veterinary medicine and experience supporting surgical or critical care environments.Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail in all tasks related to pet care and client communication.Join us in making a difference in the lives of animals and their owners by providing compassionate quality care and support at every step!Pay: From $18.00 per hourBenefits:Employee discountPeople with a criminal record are encouraged to applyExperience:Veterinary Clinic/Hospital: 3 years (Required)Work Location: In person
