Coats Veterinary Hospital is seeking a full-time Experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our compassionate and dedicated team. - Assist veterinarians and technicians with patient care and treatments
- Restrain and handle dogs and cats safely and confidently
- Prepare patients for examinations and outpatient procedures
- Perform laboratory testing and collect samples as directed
- Administer medications and treatments under supervision
- Maintain accurate medical records
- Clean and prepare exam rooms, treatment areas, and equipment
- Educate clients on basic pet care and hospital services
Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 year veterinary assistant experience required (clinical experience preferred)
- Knowledge of animal handling and restraint techniques
- Ability to multitask and remain organized in a busy environment
- Strong communication and client service skills
- Dependable, professional, and team-oriented
- Ability to lift and restrain animals of varying sizes
