Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Experienced Kennel Attendant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care and a strong ability to handle various breeds of dogs in a kennel environment. As a Kennel Attendant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the well-being of our furry guests while maintaining a clean and safe environment.
Duties
- Provide daily care for dogs, including feeding, walking, and exercising.
- Maintain cleanliness of kennels and common areas by performing regular cleaning tasks.
- Assist with animal restraint during bathing or veterinary procedures.
- Monitor the health and behavior of animals, reporting any concerns to management.
- Engage with pet owners, providing excellent customer service and answering questions about their pets.
- Bathe and brush pets
- Help with boarders as needed on holidays and weekends
- Ensure all animals are handled safely and humanely at all times.
Qualifications
- Experience in dog handling or animal care is preferred.
- Strong skills in animal restraint and handling techniques.
- Knowledge of pet grooming practices is a plus.
- Background as a veterinary assistant or in dog training is advantageous.
- Excellent customer service skills to interact positively with pet owners.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated.
- A genuine love for animals and commitment to their welfare.
