Equestrian Farm Manager – HORSE RETIREMENT FARM

Employment: Full-Time | 6 days/week | Extended hours as required
POSITION SUMMARY
We are seeking an experienced Facility Supervisor to manage the daily operations of a horse retirement and mature-horse facility in Abu Dhabi.
The role combines equine care, stable/farm management, facilities supervision, team leadership, veterinary coordination, procurement, and budgeting. The successful candidate will ensure excellent horse welfare while maintaining safe, efficient, and cost-effective farm operations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversee daily horse care, feeding, grooming, turnout, and stable management.
Monitor horse health and coordinate veterinarians, farriers, dentists, and other specialists.
Manage stables, paddocks, barns, equipment, utilities, and farm infrastructure.
Supervise grooms and support staff, including daily task allocation and performance.
Coordinate contractors and external service providers.
Manage feed, bedding, medicines, equipment, and other inventory.
Support procurement, budgeting, cost control, and expenditure monitoring.
Maintain accurate horse-care, treatment, inventory, and operational records.
Ensure compliance with animal welfare, health & safety, and farm standards.
Handle operational issues, emergencies, and facility maintenance.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
Minimum 10 years’ professional experience in equine operations, horse farms, racing yards, riding stables, equestrian estates, rehabilitation, or retirement facilities.
Strong practical knowledge of horse care and stable management.
Experience with retired, mature, injured, or special-needs horses.
Proven team supervision and facility management experience.
Experience coordinating veterinarians, farriers, contractors, and suppliers.
Strong procurement, inventory, budgeting, and cost-control skills.
Ability to work independently in a hands-on farm environment.
PREFERRED
Experience with premium/private equestrian estates, VIP stables, or high-value horses.
Horse retirement or rehabilitation experience.
UAE/GCC experience.
Experience working with senior management or private principals.
Experience developing SOPs, KPIs, and operational reports.
Diploma/Degree in Equine Studies, Animal Science, Agriculture, Farm Management, or related field.
