Mount Kilimanjaro Safari Club is seeking an experienced and passionate Director, People & Culture to lead the People & Culture function across our Tanzania hospitality properties. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced People leader who thrives in hospitality and enjoys partnering with operational leaders to build high-performing teams, strengthen culture and deliver exceptional employee experiences and ensuring our people remain at the heart of everything we do.

What will you be doing

  • Lead recruitment, workforce planning and onboarding across the Tanzania hospitality properties.
  • Partner with Operations Leaders and departmental leaders to strengthen leadership capability and people performance.
  • Lead employee relations, investigations and complex workplace matters while ensuring compliance with employment legislation.
  • Drive employee engagement initiatives that reinforce our culture, values and employee experience.
  • Lead performance management, talent reviews, succession planning and leadership development.
  • Oversee People & Culture operations, HR compliance, reporting and governance.
  • Support organizational change, business improvement initiatives and the implementation of Group People & Culture strategies.

Your team and working environment:

You’ll be part of one of Tanzania’s most exciting Safari environments, leading diverse teams, creating memorable experiences, and delivering memorable service.

Your experience and skills include:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, Hospitality Management or a related field.
  • Professional HR qualification (CHRP, CIPD, SHRM or equivalent).
  • Minimum of 10 years' progressive Human Resources experience, including at least 5 years in a leadership or Business Partner role.
  • Experience within hospitality, tourism or multi-site operations is required.
  • Demonstrated success leading employee relations, recruitment, performance management, organizational development and employee engagement initiatives.
  • Strong coaching, influencing and stakeholder management skills.
  • Commercial mindset with the ability to align People & Culture initiatives with operational priorities.
