We are seeking an experienced Dairy Operations Manager to lead and optimize our dairy farming and production operations. This is a strategic leadership role responsible for ensuring efficient, safe, and cost-effective dairy production while maintaining the highest standards of animal welfare, product quality, and operational excellence.
The successful candidate will play a key role in expanding and modernizing our dairy operations, driving continuous improvement, and supporting the development of a state-of-the-art dairy production facility.
Key Responsibilities:
Operations & Production
- Lead day-to-day dairy operations to ensure consistent production and timely delivery.
- Translate production plans into efficient farm operations while optimizing productivity and resource utilization.
- Coordinate with production, processing, supply chain, and logistics teams to ensure uninterrupted operations.
- Support the expansion and operational readiness of new dairy facilities.
Quality, Compliance & Animal Welfare
- Ensure compliance with food safety, quality assurance, biosecurity, and animal welfare standards.
- Maintain high standards of herd health, nutrition, hygiene, and veterinary care.
- Lead corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives to maintain operational excellence.
Cost & Performance Management
- Manage operational budgets and drive cost optimization across dairy operations.
- Monitor key performance indicators including milk yield, feed efficiency, labor productivity, equipment utilization, and production costs.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance overall farm performance.
Inventory & Resource Planning
- Oversee planning of feed, veterinary supplies, consumables, and operational materials.
- Work closely with procurement teams to ensure timely availability of critical resources.
- Maintain optimal inventory levels to support uninterrupted production.
Leadership
- Lead, coach, and develop farm managers, supervisors, veterinarians, and operational teams.
- Build a culture focused on accountability, safety, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Foster strong cross-functional partnerships with production, quality, procurement, finance, and supply chain teams.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Animal Science, Dairy Science, Agriculture, Veterinary Science, or a related discipline.
- 8–12 years of progressive experience in dairy farm operations, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Strong understanding of dairy production, herd management, animal nutrition, milk quality, and farm operations.
- Experience in large-scale commercial dairy farms is essential.
- Knowledge of food safety standards, biosecurity, quality management systems, and regulatory compliance.
- Experience managing operational budgets, productivity improvement initiatives, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong analytical, planning, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
- GCC or Middle East experience is preferred.
