A leading international group is seeking an experienced Country Managing Director to lead and develop its operations in an African market.
The successful candidate will have full responsibility for the subsidiary’s strategy, commercial development, operational performance, financial results, and stakeholder relationships
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement the country’s business strategy.
- Lead business development and maintain strong relationships with key clients.
- Oversee P&L, budgets, financial performance, and reporting.
- Manage operations, projects, contracts, contractors, and service delivery.
- Build and develop high-performing local teams.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, local regulations, and QHSE standards.
- Identify new business opportunities and ensure sustainable growth.
- Report to the Group’s governing bodies and lead local management meetings.
- Maintain strong relationships with clients, shareholders, employees, and other stakeholders.
- Drive operational excellence and continuous improvement.

Candidate Profile
- Master’s degree in Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 10 years of professional experience, preferably within telecom infrastructure or another operations-intensive sector.
- Proven experience in a Country Managing Director, General Manager, or similar leadership position.
- Strong experience in P&L management, operations, business development, and contract management.
- Excellent financial, commercial, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Ability to lead in a demanding, fast-paced, and changing environment.
- Strong command of Microsoft Office.
- Fluent in English.
