The Role – Associate Veterinarian
This is a full-time GP small-animal role with a 4-day work week and a balanced weekend rotation. The caseload is varied and rewarding, allowing for professional growth and clinical diversity.
Key responsibilities include:
- Performing routine consultations and physical examinations
- Delivering preventative care, including vaccinations, parasite prevention, nutrition counseling, and senior wellness programs
- Conducting and interpreting diagnostic tests, including digital radiographs, ultrasound, cytology, and in-house laboratory work
- Managing a wide range of internal medicine cases, including chronic illnesses, endocrine disorders, dermatology, and gastrointestinal disease
- Performing surgical procedures, including spays, neuters, mass removals, wound management, soft tissue, and orthopedic procedures (depending on skill and interest)
- Providing comprehensive dental care, including cleanings, dental radiographs, and extractions
- Offering client education with compassion and clarity, helping pet owners make informed decisions about their pets’ care
- Maintaining accurate and thorough medical records in compliance with best practices
- Collaborating with fellow veterinarians on complex cases and referral decisions
- Supporting the development of junior staff and contributing to a positive, team-oriented culture

Candidate Requirements
To be considered, candidates must have:
- DVM/VMD degree or equivalent from an AVMA-accredited university
- NAVLE certification
- ECFVG or PAVE (if graduated from a non-AVMA accredited program)
- DEA, State, and USDA licenses (or ability to obtain upon hire)
- Proficiency in general medicine, dentistry, and surgery
- Excellent communication, compassion, and a commitment to high-quality care
