Due to extensive growth and exciting new developments, including the building and upgrading of our spa operations in KZN, we are expanding our teams and looking for passionate, experienced wellness professionals to join us in the KZN Midlands, Paarl, and Zanzibar.
ASSISTANT SPA THERAPISTS
Role Description
The Assistant Spa Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in the KwaZulu-Natal Midlands. This position supports the Spa Manager in overseeing daily spa operations, including team coordination, appointment scheduling, service quality checks, and adherence to brand standards. The role involves supervising spa staff, ensuring guest satisfaction, resolving service issues, and maintaining a welcoming, calm environment. The Assistant Spa Manager assists with inventory management, basic budgeting tasks, and reporting, while helping to implement promotions and wellness programs. This team member also collaborates on training, supports skin care and treatment protocols, and upholds health, safety, and hygiene requirements.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Spa Management skills, including team supervision and day-to-day operational oversight.
- Candidates should possess skills in Customer Satisfaction and Customer Service to ensure an exceptional guest experience.
- Candidates should possess budgeting and basic financial administration skills to support spa performance and profitability.
- Candidates should possess knowledge of Skin Care, spa treatments, and wellness products aligned with Healing Earth Global’s philosophy.
- Previous experience in spa, hospitality, or wellness environments is highly beneficial.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution skills are important for success in this role.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as required by spa operations.
- Relevant certification or diploma in spa management, hospitality, wellness, or a related field is an advantage.
HOSTESS
Role Description
The Spa Hostess role is a full-time, on-site position based in the KwaZulu-Natal Midlands.
In this role, the Spa Hostess welcomes guests, provides attentive front-of-house support, and ensures a calm, restorative atmosphere throughout the spa.
Daily tasks can include greeting and guiding guests, managing reservations and schedules, answering phone and in-person inquiries, and coordinating with therapists and other team members to facilitate smooth service delivery.
The Spa Hostess also supports check-in and check-out processes, maintains neat and inviting reception and relaxation areas, and shares accurate information about treatments, products, and wellness offerings in line with Healing Earth’s values.
Qualifications
- Strong interpersonal skills and a caring, professional presence when engaging with diverse guests and colleagues.
- Experience managing reservations and bookings, including coordinating schedules and handling guest requests efficiently.
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly and respectfully in person and in writing.
- Proven customer service skills, with a focus on creating welcoming, supportive, and memorable guest experiences.
- Professional phone etiquette, including handling inquiries, confirming bookings, and resolving issues with composure.
- Previous experience in a spa, hospitality, or wellness environment is beneficial.
- Ability to work on-site full time, including weekends and public holidays as required.
- Basic computer literacy and familiarity with booking or point-of-sale systems are an advantage.
- Reliable, punctual, and organised, with attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a serene environment.
SPA THERAPISTS
Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Spa Therapist role based in the KwaZulu-Natal Midlands.
Spa Therapists will provide professional treatments including facials, massages, body therapies, manicures, pedicures, and more in line with Healing Earth’s wellness philosophy and product standards.
Day-to-day responsibilities include welcoming guests, conducting consultations to understand their needs, delivering customised spa experiences, and maintaining a clean, safe, and calming treatment environment.
The role also involves educating guests on products and aftercare, supporting retail sales, and working collaboratively with the spa team to ensure exceptional service and consistent guest satisfaction. Spa Therapists are expected to follow all health, safety, and hygiene protocols and actively contribute to a respectful, inclusive workplace culture.
Qualifications
- Professional expertise in Spa Treatments and Facials, with the ability to deliver high-quality, holistic wellness services.
- Practical skills in Cosmetology, including skin and body care, and knowledge of spa products and protocols.
- Competence in Pedicures and related nail care services, maintaining high standards of hygiene and guest comfort.
- Strong Customer Service skills, including active listening, clear communication, and a warm, professional demeanor.
- Relevant certification or diploma in beauty therapy, spa therapy, or cosmetology; registration with local professional bodies is an advantage.
- Previous experience in spa, wellness, or hospitality environments, preferably in luxury or high-end settings.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, and to function effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Commitment to wellness, sustainability, and continuous learning about holistic and nature-based therapies.
HOLISTIC PRACTITIONERS
Role Description
Holistic Practitioners provide in-person wellness services and rituals like yoga, meditation, sound therapy, holistic techniques, and mindful practices.
In this full-time, on-site role based in the KwaZulu-Natal Midlands, practitioners conduct client consultations, develop tailored wellness plans, and deliver treatments that may include bodywork, energy balancing, mindfulness guidance, and spa or retreat services aligned with the brand’s philosophy.
Day-to-day responsibilities include holding safe and inclusive spaces for clients, tracking progress, maintaining treatment areas, and supporting the implementation of Healing Earth’s protocols. Practitioners collaborate with team members, contribute to wellness programming, and educate clients on conscious living, self-care, and sustainable wellbeing. The role requires a consistent presence on-site and a commitment to upholding the organization’s standards of care, professionalism, and respect for diverse backgrounds.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in holistic wellness modalities (e.g. yoga, energy work, aromatherapy, mindfulness or meditation coaching).
- Strong client-facing skills, including active listening, empathetic communication, and the ability to build trust with individuals from diverse cultures.
- Knowledge of natural skincare, botanicals, or spa treatments, and interest in conscious, sustainable wellness practices.
- Ability to assess client needs, create personalized wellness plans, and document sessions with accuracy and confidentiality.
- Professional training or certification in a relevant field (such as holistic health, wellness coaching, bodywork, or spa therapy) is highly beneficial.
- Capacity to work on-site full time, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, and follow established protocols and safety standards.
- Adaptability, reliability, and a genuine commitment to slow living, deeper care, and ongoing personal and professional growth.
- Basic computer literacy for scheduling, record-keeping, and internal communication; prior experience in a spa, retreat, or wellness center is an advantage.
