Job Title: Animal Caretaker P/T (2-3days/week)
Job Summary: PART TIME (2-3 days per week)
We are seeking a dedicated Animal Caretaker to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about animal welfare and possess a strong understanding of animal physiology and behavior. As an Animal Caretaker, you will be responsible for the well-being and care of various animals, including cats, dogs, goats, chickens, and other animals under our supervision. Must be over 18 years of age
Responsibilities:
– Perform animal handling and restraint with care and compassion
– Provide basic veterinary assistance such as administering medications and monitoring health
– Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in animal living areas
– Feed and water animals according to schedules
– Monitor animal behavior for signs of distress or illness
– Engage in pet grooming activities as needed
– Handle dogs and other animals with different temperaments safely
– Oversee kennel operations and ensure a safe environment for all animals
Experience:
– Proven experience in animal handling and restraint techniques
– Knowledge of animal physiology and behavior
– Experience working with equines is a plus
– Previous experience as a veterinary assistant is advantageous
– Familiarity with pet sitting practices is beneficial
– Ability to handle dogs of various sizes and breeds confidently
