Position: Full-Time Anesthesia RVT
Join Boreal Veterinary Centre as a Full-Time Anesthesia Registered Veterinary Technologist in Edmonton, AB. Collaborate with veterinarians to deliver exceptional anesthetic care for pets.
This full-time position requires expertise in general anesthesia, monitoring equipment, and managing various procedures for dogs and cats. You will play a vital role in patient assessments, medication administration, and mentoring fellow staff. Furthermore, the position may involve cross-training in specialized departments such as Internal Medicine, Oncology, and Cardiology.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct physical examinations and patient assessments
• Supervise Animal Care Assistants in patient care
• Administer and monitor anesthesia in recovery care
• Perform venipuncture and catheter placements
• Maintain accurate medical records for all patients
Requirements:
• Active member of the ABVMA and ABVTA
• Experience with anesthesia in canines and felines
• Strong mathematical skills for drug calculations
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs (22 kg)
• Excellent communication and time-management skills
