PURPOSE STATEMENT: To maintain workshop procedures and flow up on vehicle service schedules was per OEM specs. Ensure Compliance to all Safety and Health Environmental regulatory requirements at workshop.PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Daily update workshop staff attendance morning and evening update HR on absenteeism, Offs, overtime, Permissions, leave taken.
  • Manage the auto generated gate in and out of vehicles in the workshop.
  • Ensures that job request raised under general checkup for both the trailer and horse are matching in the system (Mastruck).
  • Ensures that the correct drivers complaints raised by both the driver and highlighted by the workshop supervisor are created and entered in the system correct.
  • Ensures that the log in of task and job allocation are entered correctly in the system (Mastruck).
  • Manage the down time start with tasks for greasing, diagnostic, fabrication etc.
  • Manage and ensures that parts request in the system (Mastruck) as approved by the workshop manager and supervisor.
  • Ensures that spare parts verification is done by both the workshop supervisor and manager before replacement (cost control).
  • Ensures 100% service schedule adherence to the step by step procedures and other workshop SOPs
  • Ensures the verification of all job cards before closing them that the driver’s complaints and general checkup created have been attended to by drivers signing on completion of service.
  • Monitor that all truck and trailer maintenance are completed on time and as per schedule
  • Support to conduct appraisal of mechanics and performance reports in order to identify strengths and weaknesses. KPIs
  • Warranty replacement request & follow ups
  • Ensure workshop safety as per SHEQ to prevent accidents, injury, or damage of property
  • Ensure strict implementation of company ISO rules, regulations, and procedures
  • Perform any other task assigned to him by his superiors.Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
  • Highly organized
  • Fluency spoken & written English.
  • Knowledge of methods, techniques and procedures involved in maintenance repairs and replacement.
  • Knowledge of an automated Fleet Management Information System.
  • Considerable knowledge of safety practices and techniques in mechanics.
  • Considerable knowledge of diesel engine mechanics; considerable knowledge of Trucks make-up; considerable knowledge of parts suppliers
  • Ability to plan, organize and direct the work of skilled, semi-skilled, and unskilled employees engaged in repair and maintenance of vehicles and equipment.
  • Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose and repair Trucks with accuracy and speed
  • Ability to create effective working relationships with employees.
  • Ability to coordinate programs, prepare reports and maintain accurate records.

  • To be reporting to the Workshop ManagerQualifications & Experience
  • A Minimum of Diploma in Automotive Engineering2.

5 year’s extensive experience in managing a workshop/fleet
