Your
Role and Responsibilities:
As our Waterfront Director, you will:
Lead and manage a team of Lifeguards, ensuring safe, educational, and age-appropriate lake activities.
Oversee a diverse range of water activities including canoeing, kayaking, paddle boarding, sailing, windsurfing, water skiing, tubing, and more.
Conduct skill verifications, schedule breaks, and assign areas for Lifeguards.
Be actively involved during instructional activities and open waterfront swimming times.
Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free waterfront area, including the equipment and boat house.
Assess daily environmental conditions to ensure safe waterfront activities.
Perform regular performance reviews of Lifeguards and manage all equipment inventories.
Foster a collaborative and productive work environment among all camp staff.

We’re Looking For Someone Who:
Is 21 years of age or older with a strong desire to lead and supervise.
Holds (or is willing to obtain) an American Red Cross Waterfront Lifeguard certification, Small Craft Safety verification, and current CPR and First Aid certifications.
Has visual and auditory abilities to identify and respond to environmental and other hazards.
Can demonstrate the strength and endurance required for swimming and performing rescues.
Preferably has experience working in an overnight camp setting and supervising staff.
Possesses a valid driver’s license with a clean record and is capable of driving a 12-passenger van.
