Job Summary:

Manage the day-to-day operations of the unit in order to meet set business objectives. The Unit Head drives the company to reach desired sales results, market share and geographic coverage. Furthermore, the Unit Head is responsible for maintaining acceptable levels of debt ages and collection, and an acceptable balance of goods at the end of the year, in line with the general policy of the company.

Ideal Candidate:

The ideal candidate for the Veterinary Unit Head position should have a bachelor’s degree in veterinary medicine, or a related field. They should have a minimum of at least five years of experience in vaccine sales and marketing within Oman. Proficiency in English, both written and spoken, is essential. The candidate should demonstrate strong leadership, strategic planning, and negotiation abilities. They must be proactive decision-makers with excellent communication skills and a solid understanding of inventory management systems. The candidate should be willing to travel domestically and internationally and be open to a variety of professional challenges.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement strategic and operational plans to ensure the company’s growth.

Oversee the execution of business plans and track achievements.

Organize and manage all operations to effectively achieve business outcomes.

Engage with new and existing key customers to understand and meet their needs.

Maintain strong relationships with customers and suppliers.

Supervise pricing, credit terms, discount policies, and customer purchasing limits.

Monitor stock levels and manage warehouse inventory.

Review and place purchase orders, follow up with suppliers, and resolve any issues.

Negotiate pricing, contracts, and payment terms with suppliers.

Submit regular sales performance reports to the Regional Manager.

Develop and manage the annual operating budget.

Ensure expenses comply with the budget.

Monitor customer accounts and manage the collection process.

Ensure proper staffing and equipment for all company sections.

Recruit, train, and evaluate staff; provide technical guidance.

Attend industry conferences to stay updated on latest developments.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in veterinary medicine, or a related field.

Minimum five years of experience in vaccine sales and marketing within Oman

Excellent proficiency in English (reading, writing, and speaking).
