At Thrive Pet Healthcare Specialists, we provide emergency, specialty, and critical care for dogs and cats in Hoffman Estates and the greater Chicago area. Located on Higgins Road, our 25,000 square foot multi-specialty, 24/7 emergency facility offers advanced care services for critical and specialty needs. Designed with an open floor plan and equipped with innovative technology, our facility promotes collaboration and best-in-class care.
We are supported by state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment and highly trained staff.
About the Area:
Enjoy scenic walks along Poplar Creek Trail in Show Factory Road Prairie Nature Preserve. Play golf at Hilldale Golf Club, less than 2 miles away. After shifts, unwind at nearby AMC theaters or dine at popular local eateries. The area features nice neighborhoods and high-quality public schools.
Qualifications:
Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) – preferred
Specialty Surgery experience – preferred
Ideal Candidates:
Must have 2+ years of prior specialty surgery/anesthesia experience
Ability to prepare the surgical suite for procedures
Familiarity with aseptic techniques in the surgical suite
Monitoring and maintaining anesthesia during surgery and advanced imaging
Post-op patient monitoring, including temperatures, heart rate, and comfort
Assist with pack preparation and instrument sterilization
Assist with pre-surgical diagnostics
Obtain thorough patient histories
Effective communication with clients
Leadership experience in a specialty surgery role
