Countryside Veterinary Hospital is looking to add a skilled Veterinary Technician to our growing team in Shelton, CT. We are a busy, established small animal practice committed to delivering high-quality medicine and exceptional patient care in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.

Position Responsibilities
- Assist veterinarians with examinations, treatments, and outpatient appointments
- Collect patient histories and communicate effectively with pet owners
- Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed
- Perform venipuncture, catheter placement, and IV/SQ injections
- Prepare patients for procedures and support treatment area workflow
- Assist with surgical preparation and patient recovery when needed
- Educate clients on at-home care and discharge instructions
- Maintain accurate records and support hospital efficiency throughout the day
Ideal Candidate Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of veterinary technician experience preferred
- Proficient in venipuncture and medication administration
- Comfortable managing appointments/rooms independently
- Strong patient care and client communication skills
- Surgical prep/anesthesia knowledge is a plus
- LVT/CVT required for anesthesia and surgical monitoring duties
- Reliable, team-oriented, and adaptable in a fast-paced setting
