Blue Pearl Pet Hospital is hiring an experienced Relief Veterinary Technician for our busy Emergency department.

Veterinary Technician I (CVT) Pay: $23.35 / hour – $33.60 / hour, depending on experience. We also offer competitive shift differential pay for eligible hours worked (nights and weekends).

As an Emergency Veterinary Technician, you will:
Induce, monitor, and recover anesthesia in patients using anesthesia/monitoring equipment.
Triages emergency cases upon arrival, including obtaining vital signs such as temperature, heart rate, respiratory rate, and blood pressure.
Perform digital radiography with proper technique and patient positioning.
Understand normal ranges of patient vital signs.
Obtain and interpret blood pressure and other vital signs, alerting Veterinarian to changes.
Identify patients at risk for arrest and initiate CPR.
Calculate medical math, including infusions, and administer medications appropriately.
Perform phlebotomy and place intravenous catheters.
Place and maintain feeding tubes and central line catheters.
Mentor and train colleagues.
Address client concerns with patience and empathy.
