Position Summary:
Non-Anesthetic Dental Veterinary Technician & Receptionist
This is a dual-role position where you’ll perform hands-on dental care and serve as a friendly, informative point of contact for pet parents.
Dental Technician Responsibilities:
- Perform anesthesia-free dental cleanings including subgingival scaling
- Remove tartar and plaque using gentle-hold techniques
- Complete thorough dental assessments with accurate charting
- Educate clients on dental hygiene and at-home care
- Conduct dental consults and post-care instruction with empathy and clarity
Reception & Client Support:
- Greet clients and pets warmly, creating a welcoming and professional first impression
- Manage scheduling, client records, and communication via text
- Clearly explain services, answer questions, and guide clients through their pet’s dental appointment
- Handle front desk operations and software with accuracy and efficiency
- Assist with check-ins, check-outs, and follow-up care coordination
- Maintain a clean, organized, and friendly environment
What We’re Looking For:
- Passion for animals and pet wellness
- Strong pet dental experience for both dogs and cats
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, supportive team environment
- Positive attitude, professional appearance, and strong communication skills
- Comfort working with different breeds and temperaments
Qualifications:
- Veterinary Technician experience required
- CVT Certification preferred
- Experience in pet dentistry (non-anesthesia preferred)
- Previous pet industry or veterinary office experience a plus
- Availability Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM – 5 PM (Paid lunch break)
- One Saturday per month required
