Palm Valley Animal Clinic is seeking a skilled Veterinary Technician to join our small animal practice. In this role, you will play a crucial part in providing high-quality care for animals in a clinical setting. Skills:
Candidates must be proficient in the following areas
- Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and procedures.
- Perform venipuncture and blood draws.
- Place IV catheter.
- Administer routine injections.
- Surgical nursing, monitoring anesthesia during surgery and dentistry.
- Perform routine laboratory tests.
- Obtain diagnostic radiographic images.
Responsibilities:
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills
- Skilled at animal handling and restraint techniques to ensure safe handling of pets. Able to restrain patients for routine exams and procedures.
- Obtain accurate patient history and TPR.
- Knowledgeable of animal emergencies and triage of patients.
- Familiarity with veterinary terminology to effectively communicate within the team.
- Proficient in maintaining accurate medical records and documentation for each patient.
- Understanding of pet care responsibilities that contribute to overall health.
- Strong communication skills and able to communicate with clients in a professional and courteous manner.
- Knowledge of AviMark veterinary program preferred, but not required.
- At least 1-2 years veterinary experience.
- A team player and able to work together with others in various situations.

Pay: From $19.00 per hour
