Viking Veterinary Care is seeking full-time CVTs and Veterinary Assistants to join our team! We are a growing, progressive small animal hospital near PCC Rock Creek with a focus on Fear-Free Veterinary Care. No more wrestling pets for nail trims and radiographs! Are you looking for a mentor for a new skill set? Our hospital emphasizes ongoing training with additional experience available in Fear Free care, behavior, regenerative medicine, and acupuncture.
The right candidate will be able to skillfully prioritize many tasks at once, while keeping a positive attitude. Job duties will include taking accurate histories, initial pet assessments, setting IV catheters, monitoring anesthesia, performing dental cleanings, giving vaccines and medications, taking radiographs, restraining animals safely, etc. All candidates must be able to lift 40lbs.
Our practice is paperless and environmentally friendly. We use Shepherd software (experience with this system is a plus but not a requirement). We are a drug-free work place; drug testing and background check will be required prior to employment. Compensation will be based on experience. Pay: $25.00 – $30.00 per hour for CVT’s (experienced Technician Assistants wage DOE)
