Seeking a veterinary technician or assistant for a busy small animal veterinary clinic in scenic New Buffalo, Michigan. We are a full service practice that offers general medicine, surgery, digital radiography, and therapeutic laser.
We are willing to train new graduates or the right assistant! Must be reliable and able to multitask.
This position requires the ability to stand for an entire shift (8-9 hours), be able to lift pets and objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance, and the ability to work with computers and other hospital technologies. The candidate must have a friendly and professional demeanor with a customer service focus.
The position is full-time, approximately 32-40 hours/week. Compensation based on experience.
Responsibilities
Provide compassionate care to animals, ensuring their comfort and well-being during visits.
Assist veterinarians with examinations, procedures, and surgeries, utilizing proper veterinary terminology.
Handle and restrain animals safely to facilitate examinations and treatments.
Administer medications and vaccinations as directed, while monitoring animal responses.
Maintain accurate medical records and assist in laboratory tasks as needed.
Educate pet owners on proper care, nutrition, and training techniques.

Pay: $12.00 – $15.00 per hour
