Viking Veterinary Services is seeking a veterinary assistant or technician. We aim to provide a positive, supportive working environment that puts our staff in the best position to provide the best possible care for our patients and achieve their own professional goals.
2+ years of experience in veterinary medicine desired.
Duties are not limited to, but include:
-Taking medical histories
-Assisting the veterinarian during exams and procedures, including providing humane animal restraint
-Administering injectable medications and vaccines under veterinary supervision
-Assisting with surgical procedures and monitoring patients under anesthesia
-Assisting the veterinarian with explaining treatment plans and medication use to clients
-Answering the phones and assisting clients with scheduling appointments, requesting medications, and other needs
Job type: Full or Part time
Compensation: Based on experience and credentials
Schedule: 6 to 9 hour shifts, M-F only, NO WEEKENDS or HOLIDAYS!
We are a locally owned and operated veterinary hospital led by a veterinarian who spent many years as a technician and highly values every member of the team!

Pay: $18.00 – $23.00 per hour
