Metropolitan Veterinary Hospital, a full-service, 24hr Emergency and Referral Hospital is growing again! We are currently seeking a full time Registered Veterinary Technician for out Ophthalmology Dept. at our Highland Heights location. Work in a high-volume ophthalmology department with two doctors and multiple team members to provide exceptional care.
The ideal addition to our Ophthalmology team will possess:
- State of Ohio Veterinary Technician license
- A minimum of 1-year Veterinary experience preferred but not required
- Proficiency in calculations (drug, constant rate infusions, unit conversions, etc.)
- Flexibility to work hours/shifts to meet the needs of the hospital
- Superb verbal and written communication skills. Critical thinking Communication skills – between staff, doctors, and clients.
- All basic RVT skills (phlebotomy, IVC placement, anesthesia monitoring, basic medical math etc.)
- Ability to use a ventilator during anesthesia – this skill can be taught on the job.
Wage Range Breakdown
Based on experience
$20.00-$28.00/hr- RVTs
Schedule:
Monday-Thursday (Monday-Wednesday Cleveland) (Thursday Akron)
