Cottage Animal Clinic is a three doctor, full service, animal hospital located in the heart of Carmel, Indiana. With it’s warm, home-like atmosphere, Cottage Animal Clinic strives to provide the highest level of personalized care for all their clientele.
We are seeking a full time Veterinary Technician looking to join a positive, challenging, fast-paced, and ever-changing work environment.
The ideal candidate will have both a compassionate and caring attitude. Having a broad knowledge of the veterinary field is preferred. Job duties include, but are not limited to:
Excellent client communication skills
Solid understanding of routine pet care, such as vaccination schedules, medications, and preventatives
Possess the ability and strength to safely restrain both canine and feline patients
Must be computer literate and be able to keep up with busy doctor’s schedules
Ability to learn and maintain new technical skills quickly and efficiently
Must display professionalism at all times and always show up as a team player
Ability to fill medications and prescription food requests and keep up with regular hospital inventory
Daily cleaning and upkeep of the clinic
Qualifications and Skills:
1+ years experience preferred
High school diploma or GED required, Veterinary Technician or Animal Science higher education preferred
