The Ideal Candidate:
You are a Certified Veterinary technician or Experienced Veterinary Assistant, with solid horse handling skills and a basic knowledge of equine behavior.
A team player, you enjoy a fast-paced environment and can think critically on your feet
You are able to remain composed in stressful and emotional situations
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Motivated, dependable individual with a strong work ethic and a love for horses
Must be able to lift 40lbs
You possess clinical skills and experience that might include (but are not limited to):
Patient assessment and physical examinations
Phlebotomy, catheter placement & management of fluid administration
Utilizing different modalities of imaging for patient assessment, set up and use.
Assisting DVM’s in patient diagnostics, treatment, and procedures
Knowledge of basic laboratory procedures such as CBC/Chem/SAA/fecal testing/IGG/PRP
Preparing, updating, and completing patient treatments and maintaining accurate medical records
Anticipated Schedule (TBD):
Full-time and Part-time positions available
Weekend and after-hours availability one weekend a month
Our Clinic provides care 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year!
Compensation & Benefits:
Salary is commensurate with experience and credentials; minimum starting wage $12/hr.
