Calling all veterinary lovers! Are you passionate about animal care and looking to grow your career in a supportive, team-oriented environment? Chesapeake Veterinary Hospital (CVH) is seeking a motivated individual to join our Patient Care Team as a Veterinary Technician / Veterinary Assistant!
CVH is a full-service veterinary facility dedicated to providing exceptional care. Our services include comprehensive preventative “well patient” care, as well as medical, surgical (including laser surgery), digital X-ray, dental, reproductive, laboratory, and geriatric services.
As part of our Patient Care Team, you’ll collaborate with skilled veterinary assistants, client care specialists, and kennel technicians to ensure the highest standard of care for our patients and their families.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with physical examinations, treatments, diagnostics, and humane euthanasia.
Administer immunizations, medications, and vaccines as directed.
Educate clients on pet health, care, and post-treatment instructions.
Provide nursing care for injured or ill animals.
Assist with dental and surgical procedures, including preparation and recovery.
Perform pharmaceutical tasks and routine laboratory procedures.
Maintain accurate and detailed patient medical records.
Cross-train in other hospital departments as needed.
Ensure a clean, organized, and safe hospital environment.
Collaborate with the team to ensure smooth daily operations.

Previous veterinary or animal care experience is preferred but not required.
