Pet Medical Center of Urbandale is adding full-time or part-time veterinary technicians/assistants to our team. Previous veterinary technical experience is preferred but willing to train someone with the right attitude and motivation looking for a long-term career in the industry. Candidate must be very responsible, able to work individually as well as part of a team efficiently, be detail-oriented, take instruction well, and be passionate about providing quality patient and client care. To maximize your training and success you must be self-motivated to learn and grow!
Responsibilities include: assisting in the exam room, answering the phones, drawing up vaccinations, venipuncture, anesthesia monitoring, anesthesia recovery, radiology, dental cleanings and intraoral radiographs, client education, facility cleaning, and more skills related to veterinary medicine.
Full-time benefits include health insurance reimbursement, paid time off, paid holidays, CE, and veterinary benefits. Compensation based on experience and performance. Hours include rotating Saturdays and one late night a week.
