“`Duties:“`
– Assist veterinarians in providing medical care for animals
– Administer medications and treatments as directed by veterinarians
– Prepare animals for surgery and assist during surgical procedures
– Collect and analyze laboratory samples, such as blood and urine
– Perform diagnostic tests, including radiographs,scoping, ultrasounds
– Monitor animals under anesthesia and during recovery
– Provide post-operative care and monitor the progress of hospitalized animals
– Educate pet owners on proper animal care and medication administration

“`Qualifications:“`
– High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in veterinary technology preferred
– Certification as a veterinary technician (CVT) or licensed veterinary technician (LVT) is a plus
– Previous experience working in a veterinary clinic or animal hospital
– Knowledge of animal anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
– Proficiency in animal restraint techniques and catheterization procedures
– Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with pet owners and veterinary staff
– Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
– Compassion for animals and a genuine desire to provide quality care

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $12.00 – $14.00 per hour
