Full Job Description
Experience preferred, but willing to train the right person. Full-time position will require 4 weekdays and a minimum of 2 Saturdays a month. Candidates must be friendly, dependable, honest, work well with others, have excellent communication skills, learn new skills quickly, able to multi-task and willing to cross train to work in different areas of the clinic.
Job duties include, but not limited to:
· Provide general nursing care
· Prep patients & obtain vitals for veterinary exam
· Assist veterinarian in exam room
· Perform venipuncture for lab testing and catheter placement
· Collect samples for lab testing and package/mail reference laboratory samples
· Perform in-house blood testing
· Perform/assist in digital radiographs
· Prep patients for and assist in surgery
· Administer medications (oral, topical, injectable)
· Fill prescriptions and review directions with clients
· Perform nail trimming
· Communicate with and educate clients
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 – $20.00 per hour
