Full Job Description
Our practice is seeking experienced Veterinary Technician Assistants to join our family-oriented team. The new candidates will assist the Veterinarians and LVTs as needed in exam rooms and in surgery. Ensures that all treatments are done properly, efficiently, and in a timely fashion. Maintains a clean and well-stocked hospital. Can discuss a patient’s medical details with their owners using appropriate medical terminology in a clear, concise, and compassionate manner. Can maintain proper medical record documentation under the supervision of the veterinarian. Provide client education on vaccines and preventions that we recommend. Capable of performing blood draws, placing IV catheters, filling medications and proper patient restraint. Is comfortable giving SQ injections under the direction of a veterinarian and LVT. Must be a team player and able to communicate on a professional level.
Requirements: Experience and open availability.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 – $19.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
