We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care and a strong foundation in veterinary practices. Duties
Assist veterinarians during examinations and surgical procedures.
Perform routine laboratory tests and diagnostic imaging.
Administer medications, vaccinations, and treatments as directed by the veterinarian.
Monitor patients’ vital signs and overall health during procedures.
Maintain accurate medical records and documentation for each patient.
Educate pet owners on proper pet care, nutrition, and preventive health measures.
Ensure a clean and safe environment by adhering to aseptic techniques.
Provide support in dental cleanings and procedures, utilizing knowledge of dental terminology.
Assist with animal handling during examinations, ensuring comfort and safety for both pets and staff.
Participate in ongoing training to stay current with veterinary practices and advancements.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Veterinary Technician or similar role is preferred.
Strong knowledge of animal anatomy, veterinary terminology, and pet care practices.
Familiarity with aseptic techniques and dental procedures is highly desirable.
Excellent animal handling skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
Strong communication skills for effective interaction with pet owners and team members.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
A compassionate attitude towards animals and their owners is essential.
