Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to veterinarians in the care and treatment of animals. Your expertise in animal husbandry, veterinary terminology, and animal physiology will be crucial in ensuring the health and well-being of our patients. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pet care and a passion for working with animals. We are looking for either part time (1-3 days per week) or full time (4 days per week). No nights or weekends.

Responsibilities

Assist veterinarians during examinations and surgical procedures.
Perform routine laboratory tests and analyze samples.
Administer medications, vaccinations, and treatments as prescribed.
Monitor animal health and behavior during examinations and recovery.
Maintain accurate medical records and documentation for each patient.
Educate pet owners on proper animal care and health maintenance.
Handle animals safely and compassionately, ensuring their comfort.
Prepare animals for surgery, including anesthesia monitoring.
Keep the veterinary facility clean, organized, and compliant with safety regulations.

Experience

Licensed Veterinary Technicians are strongly urged to apply.
Proven experience in veterinary settings is preferred but not required; relevant internships or volunteer work will be considered.
Knowledge of animal anatomy, physiology, and common veterinary terminology is essential.
Skills in dog handling and general pet care practices are highly valued.
Familiarity with laboratory procedures related to animal health is a plus.
A strong understanding of animal husbandry principles will enhance your effectiveness in this role.
