Veterinary Technician Jobs in Unadilla, NY at Valley Veterinary Associates
Busy small animal hospital is seeking a dedicated and experienced veterinary technician for a full or part time position. We are a tight-knit office and would love to find another employee who shares in our love of animals.
Applicants must have previous veterinary technician experience.
Responsibilities will include:
-Assisting during surgical procedures and monitoring animals under anesthesia
-Examining animals and checking vitals in preparation for the Veterinarian
-Providing general nursing care to animals and administering medication and treatments
-Drawing blood samples for testing and placing IV catheters
-Filling medications and answering client questions
-Taking radiographs
Qualities needed:
-Strong communication skills
-Availability to work independently and as a part of a team
-Detail oriented
-Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
-Ability to lift 50 pounds
We are willing to train the right candidate(s), presuming they have previous experience in the Veterinary field. We are open on Monday, Tuesdays, Thursday, and Fridays. We are closed over major holidays. Full time employees will receive paid vacation, and all employees enjoy discounted veterinary care. Employees will be paid commensurate with experience.

Pay: $23.00 – $26.00 per hour
