Job Title:
Veterinary Technician (non-certified or certified)
Salary: $15-21/hr (based on experience)
Schedule:
Part time or Full time (35 – 40 hours a week) +/- Saturdays
Timberlane Animal Hospital is seeking a skilled and passionate Veterinary Technician to join our team! We are looking for a Veterinary Technician who has a minimum of 1 year of experience working in an animal hospital. As a full-time employee, you would work 35-40 hours weekly with shifts from 8am to 6pm Monday through Friday and 8am to 12pm on Saturdays.
Our Veterinary Technician staff are trained in general practice, critical care, emergency, and surgery.
Timberlane Veterinary Technician Expectations:
You are punctual and reliable.
You work well with others and can build relationships with clients and their animals.
You follow protocols for the safety and satisfaction of staff and pets.
You place IV catheters and perform venipuncture in critical, hospitalized, or surgical patients in small animals and exotics.
You are responsible for obtaining appropriate vitals and histories on patients.
You understand diagnostic techniques such as blood and skin cytology, radiographs, dental radiographs, fecal floats, snap tests, and blood work on IDEXX laboratory machines.
You multitask effectively and maintain a calm demeanor in high-stress environments.
You are interested in continuing education in veterinary medicine and eager to expand your knowledge.
You are willing and able to take radiographs.
You can cross-train and assist in exam rooms, surgical procedures, and reception areas.
