Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to veterinarians in the care and treatment of animals. Your expertise will contribute to the health and well-being of our patients, ensuring they receive the highest quality of care in a supportive environment.
Duties
Assist veterinarians during examinations and procedures, including animal catheterization and dental treatments.
Perform routine laboratory tests and diagnostic imaging, including X-rays.
Administer medications, vaccinations, and treatments as prescribed by the veterinarian.
Monitor animal vital signs and behavior during procedures and recovery.
Provide animal restraint and handling during examinations and treatments to ensure safety for both the animal and staff.
Educate pet owners on proper care, nutrition, and training techniques, including dog training strategies.
Maintain accurate medical records and documentation of patient history.
Ensure cleanliness and organization of the clinic environment, including sterilization of instruments.
Qualifications
Certification or degree in Veterinary Technology from an accredited program is preferred.
Strong knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal anatomy, and veterinary critical care practices.
Experience with animal restraint techniques and handling various breeds of dogs is essential.
Familiarity with dental terminology related to veterinary practices is a plus.
Excellent communication skills for interacting with pet owners and team members.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.

Pay: $16.00 – $30.00 per hour
