Location: Bradfordville Animal Hospital
Job Type: Full-time | Pay: $15.00 – $18.00 per hour (based on experience)
Overview
We are looking for a compassionate, detail-oriented Veterinary Technician to join our dedicated team in North Florida. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about animal health and eager to support veterinarians in delivering high-quality medical care. Key Responsibilities
Assist veterinarians with examinations, surgical procedures, and other treatments.
Perform laboratory diagnostics such as bloodwork, urinalysis, and fecal testing.
Administer medications, vaccines, and prescribed treatments.
Monitor hospitalized patients and provide nursing care
Safely handle and restrain animals during exams and procedures.
Maintain detailed and accurate medical records.
Educate pet owners on nutrition, preventive care, medications, and post-visit instructions.
Maintain sterile techniques during surgical preparation and procedures.
Support clinic cleanliness and organization, ensuring a sanitary work environment.
Qualifications
Solid understanding of animal anatomy, physiology, and veterinary terminology.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills for client interaction and teamwork.
Demonstrated compassion and a patient-centered approach to animal care.
Prior experience in a veterinary clinic preferred.
Strong animal handling and restraint skills
Ability to perform basic lab work and assist in surgery prep
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Passion for animal health and client education
