Phoenixville Animal Hospital is looking for a Full-time Veterinary Technician to join our growing team.

Compensation: – $20 – $24 with annual bonus opportunities.
Shift Details: 4-day work week with a rotating Saturday.
Skills: Proficiency with venipuncture, IV catheter placement, vaccine protocols, medical terminology, ear cytologies, in-house lab equipment operation, and more.

Responsibilities:
Major Duties:
In-patient medical care: administering medications, treatments, diagnostics, monitoring, IV catheter placement, blood draws, lab tests, IV fluids, patient care (feeding, walking, cleaning).
Anesthesia/Surgery: prepping, induction, maintenance, monitoring, recovery, sterilizing equipment.
Dentistry: providing dental care, ultrasonic cleaning, assisting with dental surgeries.
Radiology: positioning patients, assisting with radiographs, emailing images.
Laboratory: collecting, preparing, running tests, recording results.
Client communication: updates, discharge instructions, follow-ups.
Education:
teaching clients at-home care procedures.
Appointments: blood draws, bandage changes, post-op checks, suture removal.
Clinic operations: assisting with outpatient flow, checking in/out patients, data entry.
Reception duties: answering phones, scheduling, admitting/discharging patients.
Training and mentoring new staff.
Inventory control: restocking supplies, notifying low stock.
Preparing prescriptions: dispensing medications and refills.
Qualifications:
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb, lift up to 50 pounds alone, over 50 with assistance.
Endurance to sit, stand, walk on hard surfaces for extended periods.
Sufficient ambulatory skills for hospital duties.
Ability to work in noisy environments with animal sounds and equipment.
Exposure to pets that may bite or scratch, anesthesia, radiation, biological hazards, medications.
Good hand-eye coordination, dexterity, visual acuity for operating equipment.
