Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our team. As a Veterinary Technician, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care to our animal patients. Responsibilities:
– Assist veterinarian with examinations, surgeries, and other medical procedures
– Perform laboratory tests and analyze samples
– Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed by the veterinarian
– Take and develop X-rays
– Prepare animals for surgery and monitor their vital signs during procedures
– Provide post-operative care and monitor recovery progress
– Maintain accurate medical records for all patients
– Clean and sterilize equipment and surgical instruments
– Assist with animal handling and restraint
– Provide compassionate care to animals and their owners
Skills:
– Proficient in X-ray techniques and interpretation
– Knowledge of kennel procedures, including cleaning, feeding, and exercise protocols
– Strong understanding of veterinary technician duties and responsibilities
– Familiarity with animal care best practices
– Knowledge of veterinary critical care procedures
– Understanding of animal physiology and anatomy
– Excellent animal handling skills
– Ability to perform animal catheterization
– Proficient in laboratory procedures, including sample collection and analysis
Qualifications:
– Previous experience working as a Veterinary Technician is highly desirable
– Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
– Ability to work well in a team environment
