Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to veterinarians in delivering high-quality care to animals. Your expertise in animal handling and veterinary practices will be crucial in ensuring the health and well-being of our patients. Duties
Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and procedures.
Perform animal restraint and handling techniques to ensure safety for both animals and staff.
Conduct diagnostic tests, including X-rays, and assist with laboratory procedures.
Monitor animal vital signs and provide critical care as needed.
Administer medications, vaccinations, and treatments as directed by the veterinarian.
Maintain accurate medical records and documentation for each patient.
Educate pet owners on proper pet care, nutrition, and preventive health measures.
Ensure cleanliness and organization of the clinic or hospital environment.
Provide kennel care, including feeding, grooming, and exercising animals.
Qualifications
Proven experience in dog handling and general animal handling skills.
Familiarity with veterinary critical care practices is preferred.
Strong communication skills to effectively interact with pet owners and team members.
Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
A compassionate approach towards animals and their owners is a must.
Certification or degree in Veterinary Technology is preferred but not required for all applicants.
