Needed: Veterinary Technician
Veterinary Clinic in Des Moines has an immediate opening for a veterinary technician/assistant.
Starting pay based on level of experience.
Duties include but are not limited to:
Communicating directly with clients
Assisting veterinarians in exam rooms and surgery
Performing diagnostic tests (blood work, radiographs, etc)
Preparing for appointments
Obtaining blood samples
Filling prescriptions
Cross training for occasional receptionist duties
Previous animal handling and technical experience is recommended but not required
Hours:
Full time with one weekday off but required to work every other Saturday. Our hours of operation are Monday through Friday 8am – 6pm and Saturday 7:30 am – 11:30 am.
Requirements:
Must be dependable, flexible and possess strong interpersonal skills
Work well in a team environment
Ability to communicate effectively to a diverse client base
Ability to successfully multi-task as needed
Ability to work flexible schedule and Saturday hours
Understand the importance of each client and patient to our business
Must have reliable transportation
