Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong passion for animal care and welfare, with experience in various veterinary practices. This role involves working closely with veterinarians to provide high-quality medical care for pets and other animals, ensuring their health and well-being.
Responsibilities
Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and procedures.
Perform laboratory tests and diagnostic imaging as required.
Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed by the veterinarian.
Provide proper animal restraint techniques to ensure safety for both the animals and staff.
Maintain accurate medical records and documentation for each patient.
Educate pet owners on proper pet care, nutrition, and preventive health measures.
Handle dogs and other animals with care, ensuring their comfort during visits.
Utilize dental terminology to assist in dental cleanings and procedures.
Participate in the maintenance of a clean and organized work environment.
Requirments
Experience in veterinary critical care is preferred but not required.
Knowledge of laboratory procedures and equipment is advantageous.
Strong skills in animal handling and restraint techniques
Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with pet owners and team members.
A genuine love for animals and commitment to providing exceptional care.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Internship
Pay: $15.00 – $16.00 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
