Job Overview
Bellevue Animal Clinic is seeking a compassionate and caring Veterinary Technician to join our fast pace multi doctor practice. Must be motivated, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with dogs and cats of all sizes and temperaments.
Responsibilities
- Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and diagnostic procedures by preparing equipment and ensuring a sterile environment using aseptic techniques.
- Handle animal restraint and restraint techniques to ensure safety for both animals and staff during procedures.
- Perform laboratory tests, including blood work, urinalysis, and other diagnostic procedures to support accurate diagnoses.
- Maintain detailed records of patient histories, treatments, and lab results with precision and clarity.
- Operate diagnostic equipment such as X-ray machines and assist with radiographic procedures to aid in accurate diagnosis.
- Support dental procedures by understanding dental terminology and assisting with pet dental care routines.
Qualifications
- Must be 18 years or older with high school diploma
- Prior hands-on animal handling experience is highly desirable.
- Must be dependable and punctual
- Must be able to work alternating weekends
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Experience working within a veterinary clinic or hospital setting is preferred; but not required
- Certification or practical experience in veterinary technician roles will strengthen your application.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time
- Heavy lifting is required
Pay: $11.00 – $11.75 per hour
