The position assists the technical staff and veterinarians as needed to provide a safe and well maintained environment for our patients and team.
Job Responsibilities
Assisting surgery technician’s with recovery of patients
Performing frequent temperature, pulse, and respiration monitioring on all recoverying surgical patients
Commucniating patient recovery status to technicians and/or DVMs
Taking patients out for walks or breaks
Daily and regularly cleaning and sanitizing of kennels and treatment
Unpacking and stocking inventory including pharmacy medications, medical equipment, and hospital supplies
Washing, drying, and folding hospital laundry
Vacuuming and or mopping treatment, rooms, offices and surgical floors
Emptying trash
Cleaning outside potty station and surrounding area
Cleaning and sanitizing hospital rooms including: surgery, treatment, special and bathrooms
Holding and restraining patients for staff
Escorting patients to cars, lobby, or rooms
Filling prescriptions under the supervision of veterinary staff
Assisting technical staff and veterinarians as needed
Skills and Basic Qualifications
High school diploma or GED equivalent
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively and efficiently in a fast paced environment.
Must be able to handle the physical and emotional aspect of work in a veterinary clinic environment, including the use of euthanasia.
Must be able to be on feet for long periods of time and assist with restraint of patients.
Must be able to lift 50lbs
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $16.00 – $22.00 per hour
