Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Veterinary Technician to join our animal care team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with animals and providing high-quality care in a veterinary setting.
Duties:
– Assist veterinarians in medical procedures and surgeries
– Perform laboratory tests and analyze results
– Administer medications and treatments as directed by veterinarians
– Handle and restrain animals during examinations and procedures
– Educate pet owners on proper animal care and treatment plans
– Maintain accurate medical records for all patients
– Monitor and care for hospitalized animals
– Perform dental cleanings and assist with dental procedures
Requirements:
– Certification as a Veterinary Technician
– Proficiency in animal handling and restraint techniques
– Knowledge of veterinary terminology and procedures
– Experience in veterinary critical care is a plus
– Familiarity with animal physiology and behavior
– Strong communication skills with both pet owners and team members
– Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
