Summary
We are seeking a Veterinary Technician to join our team at Animal Ark Animal Hospital. In this role, you will play a crucial part in delivering A+ care to our clients’ pets while working alongside a board-certified veterinary specialist. Your contributions will be vital to ensuring the health and well-being of our animal patients.
Responsibilities
Assist veterinarians in diagnosing and treating animals.
Perform in-house diagnostics including X-rays and laboratory tests.
Provide nursing care for hospitalized patients and monitor their recovery.
Educate pet owners on proper pet care and training techniques.
Maintain accurate medical records for all patients.
Prepare animals and equipment for surgical procedures.
Administer medications and vaccinations as directed by the veterinarian.
Ensure cleanliness and organization of the clinic environment.
Requirements
Certification as a Veterinary Technician (or enrolled in school) or equivalent experience required.
Strong knowledge of animal anatomy and veterinary terminology.
Experience with X-ray equipment and laboratory procedures is preferred.
Excellent animal handling skills with a compassionate approach to pet care.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with strong time management skills.
