Good Hope Animal Hospital is looking to add a full-time or part-time compassionate and skilled Veterinary Technician to our team. We are open Monday through Friday with half day Saturdays and no on-call.

Good Hope provides high-quality medical care to canine, feline, and pocket pet family members. We are a 6-doctor hospital that occupies a state-of-the-art facility, providing our patients and clients with optimum medical care and customer service. Good Hope is fully equipped with IDEXX in-house lab, digital radiography and dental radiography. Our radiographs are reviewed by SignalPET with full radiology consults available. In surgery we have a CO2 cutting laser. We have separate surgical and dental suites, and patients are monitored by a technician along with anesthetic monitoring including blood pressure, ECG, SPO2 and end tidal CO2. https://goodhopeanimalhospital.com/

Veterinary Technician

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Provides compassionate care to patients and clients.
Assists the Veterinarian in appointments, medical procedures, and treatments.
Experience with IV catheter placement and blood draws.
Keeps accurate medical records in accordance hospital policy.
Prepares and maintains the exam rooms and treatment areas.
Performs physical assessments and records observations.
Restrains pets with an emphasis on low stress handling.
Prepares estimates for procedures and discusses financial commitments with clients.
Explains necessary follow up and homecare instructions.
Maintains an appropriate inventory of all medical supplies as determined by the inventory control system.
Assists Veterinarian with follow up of chronic medically managed cases and provides support to the pet owner.

REQUIREMENTS

High school diploma or equivalent
Veterinary Technician Certification (CVT) or License (LVT) preferred but not required
Must have a positive attitude and be a team player
Able to work some Saturdays and evenings
