We are looking for great people who would appreciate great pay and benefits to join our team.Role DescriptionAs a Veterinary Technician you will act as a liaison between the doctors and clients/patients by working directly with the doctors to deliver high-quality and compassionate clinical care.Core ResponsibilitiesCustomer service functions, including: greeting visitors, answering telephones when needed, and guiding clients to understanding pet health careScheduling and confirming appointmentsPlacing outbound calls for follow-ups and reaching out to clients in regard to medical resultsManaging medical records, charts, reports and correspondencePresenting and explaining fees to clientsRecommending, selecting, and obtaining products and servicesAnswering questions regarding products and services, including educating clients on general animal husbandry medical and non-medical pet careHospital maintenance (including removal of animal waste) and ensuring that the facility is neat and clean at all times—both inside and outsidePreparing, assisting & monitoring patients in surgery & other proceduresInduction, monitoring and recovery of anesthesia in patientsPerform digital radiography using proper techniqueObtain and interpret blood pressure and other vitals signs with the ability to alert the Veterinarian to critical changes and issues.Identify patients at risk for arrest and initiate CPRBe able to calculate dosage (including constant rate infusions) and administer medications via appropriate routes and duration.Medication processing that includes dispensing, advising & recordingBandaging, IV cath placement, medicine administration, wound clean-upManaging/completing worklists & follow-ups & cleaning routinesUnderstanding small animal behavior & handlingReviewing & responding to clinic emails & textsCollection, prep & processing of samples for diagnostic purposesObtaining vitals in both a non-emergent & emergent situationsDiscussing with clients the importance of the preventatives that we promoteQualifications1-2 years of Technician experience is preferredLicense in good standing a plus but not required with equivalent experienceHigh school diploma or equivalent, requiredWhat are we looking for?Excellent verbal and written communicationAbility to maintain confidentialityStrong attention to detailTeam playerEfficient time management and workload prioritizationStrong multitasking skillsScheduleMonday-Friday: 8:00 am – 5:00pm; One Saturday per month 8:00 am to 1:00 pmJob Type: Full-timePay Range: $17-23 per hour, depending on experienceBenefits:401(k) and MatchingDental and Optical insuranceVision insuranceHealth insurancePaid time offProfessional development assistanceEmployee discountMaternity LeavePaid HolidaysJob Types: Full-time, Part-timePay: $17.00 – $23.00 per hourBenefits:401(k)401(k) matchingDental insuranceEmployee discountFlexible scheduleHealth insuranceLife insurancePaid time offParental leaveProfessional development assistanceRetirement planTuition reimbursementVision insuranceExperience:Veterinary experience: 1 year (Preferred)Work Location: In person
