Apple Country Animal Hospital is looking for an experienced Veterinary Technician to join our team in Stow, Massachusetts. CVTs are encouraged to apply, but credentialing is not required — we’re also interested in experienced non-credentialed technicians with a strong technical skill set.
We’re a full-service small animal hospital with an established team providing medical, surgical, dental, preventative, diagnostic, and senior care. Our focus is on providing individualized, compassionate medicine while building lasting relationships with our clients and their pets.

What You’ll Be Doing
Your responsibilities may include:
- Venipuncture and laboratory sample collection
- IV catheter placement
- Administering medications, injections, and treatments
- Anesthesia induction, monitoring, and patient recovery
- Dental procedures and dental radiography based on experience
- Digital radiology and diagnostic imaging
- Surgical preparation and assistance
- In-house laboratory testing
- Patient restraint and low-stress handling
- Technician appointments and outpatient treatments as appropriate
- Supporting veterinarians during appointments and procedures
- Patient assessment and monitoring
- Client education and discharge instructions
- Maintaining accurate medical records
- Helping mentor and support less experienced members of the team
Apple Country’s caseload includes wellness and preventative medicine, surgery, dentistry, internal medicine, digital radiology, in-house diagnostics, geriatric care, pain management, behavior consultations and end-of-life care.
What We’re Looking For
- Previous veterinary technician experience required
- CVT preferred but not required
- Experienced non-credentialed technicians are encouraged to apply
- Strong venipuncture and patient-handling skills
- Experience with anesthesia and surgical patient monitoring
- Comfortable working with both canine and feline patients
- Ability to work independently while remaining highly collaborative
- Strong communication and client-education skills
- Dependable, proactive, and willing to jump in where needed
- Commitment to quality patient care and continued professional growth
A Team With Experience
You’ll be joining an established support team that includes both Certified Veterinary Technicians and experienced non-credentialed Veterinary Technicians, with team members bringing a variety of interests and strengths including surgery, anesthesia, dentistry, blood draws and catheter placement, nutrition, senior-patient care, client education, and fear-conscious patient handling.

The hospital’s current hours are Monday–Thursday, 8:00 AM–8:00 PM and Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM, with the hospital closed Saturdays and Sundays.

Compensation
$22.00 – $25.00 an hour based on experience.

REQUIREMENTS
- Must be a team player and have compassion for pets and their people

- High school diploma or equivalent
