**Job Overview**
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our dedicated team. As a Veterinary Technician, you will play a vital role in the care and well-being of our patients, working closely with our veterinarians to provide top-notch medical and surgical services.
**Responsibilities**
– Assist veterinarians with medical procedures, such as surgeries, vaccinations, and blood draws.
– Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient care and treatment.
– Monitor and care for animals in the kennel, including those in critical care.
– Participate in laboratory procedures, including taking and processing blood and urine samples.
– Provide dental care, including cleaning and polishing teeth.
– Handle and restrain animals as necessary for medical procedures.
– Operate X-ray equipment to assist with diagnostic imaging.
– Provide exceptional pet care, including bathing, administering medications and monitoring animal health.
– Maintain a clean and organized environment within the veterinary clinic.
**Requirements**
– Associate’s degree in Veterinary Technology or a related field, or hands on experience greater than 2 years.
– Current certification as a Veterinary Technician (CVT) or Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT).
– Knowledge of veterinary critical care and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
– Familiarity with dental terminology and procedures.
– Ability to lift 50 pounds or more, as well as work in a standing or sitting position for extended periods.
– Excellent communication skills and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service.
– Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
– Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and procedures.
– Passion for animal care and a strong commitment to the well-being of our patients.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $14.00 – $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 36 – 40 per week
