Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong passion for animal care and be skilled in providing high-quality veterinary services. As a Veterinary Technician, you will play a crucial role in supporting veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and other medical procedures while ensuring the comfort and well-being of our animal patients.
Duties
- Assist veterinarians in performing examinations, surgeries, and treatments for various animals.
- Conduct routine laboratory tests, including blood work and urinalysis, to aid in diagnosing health issues.
- Administer medications, vaccinations, and treatments as prescribed by the veterinarian.
- Monitor animal patients’ vital signs and overall health during procedures and recovery.
- Prepare animals for surgery by ensuring proper sedation and anesthesia protocols are followed.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation for each patient visit.
- Educate pet owners on proper animal care, nutrition, and post-operative instructions.
- Handle dogs and other animals safely and effectively to minimize stress during visits.
- Assist with dental cleanings and procedures while utilizing appropriate dental terminology.
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of the clinic environment, including kennels and treatment areas.
Experience
Candidates should have:
- Previous experience as a Veterinary Technician or in a similar role is preferred.
- Knowledge of animal physiology, behavior, and handling techniques.
- Familiarity with veterinary equipment such as X-ray machines and anesthesia monitors is advantageous.
- Skills in animal catheterization.
- A strong commitment to providing excellent customer service to pet owners while fostering a positive team environment.

Pay: $19.00 – $22.00 per hour
