Port St. John Veterinary Hospital is searching for a positive and outgoing Veterinary Technician to join our growing team! Our Technicians play an integral role in maintaining hospital flow and providing exceptional patient care. They are responsible for assisting with patient exams, following treatment plans by administering medications and treatments to hospitalized pets, and more!
This role will primarily focus on Surgery/Treatment. Responsibilities include patient restraint, surgical set up and anesthesia monitoring, phlebotomy, exam room assistance, microscopic evaluation, and preparing prescriptions, along with general customer service duties.
This is a flexible, full-time position, Mon-Fri with 1 half-day Saturday shift per month.
Full-time benefits and compensation:
Compensation: $16 – $20/hour (based on experience and credentials)
Flexible FT Scheduling: 4-10’s and 1 Saturday (1/2 day) rotation per month
Bonus package: $500 – $2,000 (based on credentials)
CVT CE allowance: $500 the first year and $1,000 annually thereafter

Required Experience:
2+ years of Veterinary experience
1+ year experience of surgical monitoring and assisting is required for this role
Experience with phlebotomy and IVC placement
Adept and comfortable with client communication and education
